The Equipment & Processing Engineer Technician is required to sustain and improve the factory with primary responsibility of resolving equipment and process issues.

In this position, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Perform routine preventative and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment. Perform routine inspections of equipment and product to identify and reduce sources of variation.

  • Maintain, repair, install equipment to optimize tool availability, utilization, cycle time and cost. Participate in statistical process control: create, update, monitor charts, use structured problem solving to diagnose and mitigate equipment and process issues.
  • Identify and address potential areas for improvement and perform engineering experiments.
  • Monitor, control, and qualify a variety of metal forming, melting, machining and analysis equipment. Operate metrology/ inspection equipment and interpret results.
  • Work with others to develop standard work procedures. Train other team members to perform standard work procedures.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum high school diploma or GED. 2 year engineering degree preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in metals manufacturing or in semiconductor equipment maintenance
  • Demonstrated technical skills and knowledge of metals processing and process equipment
  • Demonstrated ability to operate computer systems and automated equipment
  • Working knowledge of statistical process control methodologies and systems preferred
  • Familiarity with lean and 6-sigma tools and methods preferred
  • Strong electro-mechanical knowledge and hands-on ability with a variety of manufacturing, diagnostic and analytical equipment: Vacuum systems, Machine shop: Manual and Computer controlled Grinders/Mills/Lathes, Power supplies, control systems, electronics, Leak Detectors, RGA, Multi-meters, temperature and pressure measurement systems
The selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR).

The candidate selected will have to qualify as either a U.S. citizen, a U.S. National, a lawful permanent resident of the U.S., a Person Admitted into the U.S. as an Asylee or Refugee., a National of a country that is not prohibited from approval for an export license by the governing agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction.
