Are you an expert Machinist invigorated by working with new and interesting materials in a variety of ways? Are you eager to perform high end precision work in pursuit of innovation?

As Master Machinist, you collaborate with the best and brightest engineers in the Materials industry to forge new ground and enable new technology, including 5G and the next generation of data and memory storage. You are the expert craftsman, developing machining and casting processes to achieve optimal yield, quality and efficiency for both new and existing products.

You Will:

  • Partner with Technical Manager and R&D Engineers to define new machining and casting processes.
  • Execute designed tests for the machining of new cast and powder products, working with a variety of materials, including aluminum, nickel, cobalt & iron. Process may include use of a wide variety of machines such as: lathes, milling machine, drill press and bench grinder to manufacture new materials.
  • Collaborate with Operations to plan the scaling up and transitioning of machining processes to Production.
REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma required; Associate degree preferred.
  • A minimum of three years related experience &/or education in diversified lathe, vertical milling machines and surface grinding operations
  • Expert level skills to perform high-end precision work while operating a wide variety of machine tools, including engine lathes, milling machines and drill presses.
  • Experience in SolidWorks or other CAD software preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints, as well as to document processes, procedures and product specifications.
  • Personal attributes include ingenuity, problem-solving, flexibility, comfort with ambiguity, collaborative.
*$2,000 sign on bonus!

The selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR).

The candidate selected will have to qualify as either a U.S. citizen, a U.S. National, a lawful permanent resident of the U.S., a Person Admitted into the U.S. as an Asylee or Refugee., a National of a country that is not prohibited from approval for an export license by the governing agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction.
