Description

The University of Chicago's Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neuroscience seeks full-time faculty members at any rank. The appointees will provide assessment, diagnostic, and consulting neuropsychological services to children, adolescents, and adults with medical illnesses (e.g., cancers, brain tumors, epilepsies, diabetes), neurodevelopmental and neurogenetic disorders (e.g., intellectual disability syndromes, ASD, NF-1), and comorbid psychiatric conditions, in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Other duties will include teaching and supervision of trainees and students, and scholarly activity. We especially welcome applicants who are able to complement and/or expand the interests of our current program, including contributing to developing lines of collaborative care, and who may be bilingual (although not required). Academic rank and compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) are dependent upon qualifications.

The Neuropsychology Program at the University of Chicago is both regionally and nationally recognized for its training, research, and clinical care. The Section of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry is highly interdisciplinary in its care and neuropsychology faculty actively contribute to and collaborate with the Consultation/Liaison, Neurodevelopmental, Trauma, and Psychotherapy programs within the section. Pediatric Neuropsychology consults with the pediatric care teams within Comer Children's Hospital, including Pediatric Neurology, Neurosurgery, Hematology/Oncology, Rheumatology, Infectious Disease, and Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics. Our Clinical Psychology program, based in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neuroscience, is integrated within the interdisciplinary educational, research, and clinical missions of the Department, the Biological Sciences Division, and the UChicago Medical Center.

Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) hold a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited University-based training program, with appropriate coursework and predoctoral training consistent with Pediatric Neuropsychology, 2) hold or be eligible for an Illinois license in Clinical Psychology, 3) be eligible for or currently Board Certified in Clinical Neuropsychology with a Pediatric sub specialization (ABPP/ABCN), 4) have completed an internship at an APA-accredited medical center based program, with primary training in Pediatric Neuropsychology and Pediatric or Child Clinical Psychology, and 5) have completed a two-year Pediatric Neuropsychology postdoctoral fellowship that includes advanced-level clinical, didactic, and academic training, consistent with Houston Conference Guidelines.

To be considered, those interested must apply through The University of Chicago's Academic Recruitment job board, which uses Interfolio to accept applications: http://apply.interfolio.com/123128. Applicants must upload: CV including bibliography, and cover letter. Review of applications end when the position is filled.
