Accounting Manager

Job Details:

Summary: This position will serve as project lead on domestic operational accounting processes and controls as we transition into a new SAP environment. This position will be responsible for applying principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial and operational reports and records of financial transactions for Cobb-Vantress, LLC. Essential functions of this position are: cost accounting; monthly closing journal entries; account reconciliations; monthly, quarterly and annual financial and operational reports; and fixed asset administration. Other duties as needed.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in an academic field directly related and essential to this job Accounting or Finance degree preferred
• Experience: 5 plus years of related experience preferred. Cost accounting experience preferred. Proven track record in process improvements is also desired.
• Computer Skills: Working knowledge of SAP and basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word and PowerPoint preferred
• Communication Skills: Excellent written presentation and verbal communication skills
• Special Skills: Certified Public Accountant preferred but not required. Good working knowledge of both GAAP and transactional accounting. Ability to integrate multiple operating systems with financial systems. Track record for exceeding multiple goals on various short term projects simultaneously. Strong team-oriented skills as well as a high level of self-motivation in working independently. Ability to work with a diverse group of people across various levels, functions, and locations.
