RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking an Accounts Payable Accountant in Chesterfield, MO.Responsibilities:- Accounts Payable Accountant will work with the Company' Business Transformation team, Company's banking partners and other members of the accounting department in streamlining accounts payable processes
- Work with sites and accounting teams to ensure consistent application of company policies and procedures throughout the procurement and payment process
- Review, challenge and enter vendor invoices for payment as applicable
- Correspond with vendors as needed and respond to inquiries on a timely basis
- Investigate outstanding check matters and issue stop-payments as needed
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions
- As an Accounts Payable Accountant, you will assist with month-end close procedures; Knowledge of month end accrual process
- Provide supporting documentation for annual financial statement audits and bank borrowing base submissions
- Assist with year-end vendor 1099 reporting and distribution
- Maintain organized electronic vendor files and perform other general office duties as needed
REQUIREMENTS:
- Accounts payable background; 1 to 3 years of relevant experience
- Self-starter with drive to improve processes and gain efficiencies through the use of technology and other available tools
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- IQMS or Oracle experience a plus
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
