Adjunct Instructor - Chemistry

The Department of Chemistry at UNT is seeking Adjunct Instructors. Chemistry is the study of matter and its reactions, provides a basic understanding needed to deal with a variety of societal and scientific needs, including energy, food production, health and medicine, biotechnology, new materials, environmental concerns, new processes, and national defense. Chemistry is a science central to the study of medicine, biology and modern physics.

UNT has a highly diverse campus with a wide range of languages spoken in addition to English. We welcome candidates who have experience with HSI/MSIs and/or who speak Spanish, Vietnamese, American Sign Language, Chinese (Cantonese, Mandarin and other variations), Arabic, Tagalog, Farsi, French, or/and Yoruba.

The Department of Chemistry seeks qualified individuals for its Adjunct Instructor pool and welcomes applicants at any time. This posting is for the Spring 2024 and Summer 2024 semesters. The specific courses involved may vary from semester to semester and openings to teach these courses develop on a periodic basis, depending on department teaching needs.

The anticipated need is to teach Quantitative Analysis (CHEM 3451) during the Spring 2024 semester.

MS degree in Chemistry and two years of experience teaching Chemistry lecture or lab classes.

Ph.D. in Chemistry desired with prior teaching experience in Analytical Chemistry courses is preferred.
