Job Description

Admin, EHS - West Hills, CA - Monday-Friday

Perform administrative duties for the Compliance / EHS Manager and effectively communicate and handle employee and client inquiries.

  • Work with department supervisors to customize department waste container management programs.
  • Develop, communicate, and implement updated department instrument waste container management programs.
  • Update waste management inspection programs to include updated protocols.
  • Interacts with department managers/trainers for coordination of departmental training.
  • Maintains documentation of Compliance / EHS training and tracks employees' status in order to meet deadlines.
  • Assists in preparation of documents for corporate audits and resolution of problems/issues.
  • Addresses questions/concerns form employees concerning Compliance and EHS issues.
  • Interacts with Corporate Compliance / EHS, local Business Unit
  • Develop, communicate and implement the Environmental Health and Safety programs as defined by Corporate and Business Unit Policies and Procedures Manual including the Business Unit's Strategic Plan, and procuring and presenting appropriate OSHA required and continuing safety education for all employees. Maintain records as appropriate for all regulatory agencies and corporate.
  • Maintain safety training library, videos, handouts, written training materials and testing materials. Conduct training as appropriate
  • All other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

Required Work Experience:

Minimum 3-5 years of administrative experience

Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.

Knowledge:

N/A

Skills:
    • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, specifically PowerPoint, Word, and Excel;
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and projects while working in a fast paced environment;
    • Excellent Communication Skills;
    • Excellent Organizational Skills;
    • Excellent Customer Service Skills.

EDUCATION
High School Diploma or Equivalent(Required)

Currently enrolled with California State University, Northridge
