Schedule: 20 hrs/week
Examples of Work
This SOS Administrative Specialist serves in conjunction with the current Administrative Specialist under the supervision of the School Principal at the Nebraska Correctional Youth Facility.
Will provide administrative support for the Education Department by compiling, entering, tracking and evaluating data.
Prepare documents and reports using spreadsheets and search queries across multiple databases.
Qualifications / Requirements
REQUIREMENTS: At least one year of post high school coursework or experience in: administration, office management, accounting, finance, planning, policy analysis and implementation, administrative/management analysis, operations research, program evaluation, research, or similar fields or in a field related to the programs or functions of the employing agency.
PREFERRED: Minimum of two years' experience serving as administrative/professional support to management, to include drafting correspondence, transcription/dictation, scheduling meetings, and handling time-sensitive, confidential information. Experience developing policy, procedures and protocols. Extensive experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
OTHER: Type 40 wpm net.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong organizational skills and effective telephonic communication. Proficient on PC and have experience working with Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of multiple databases. Entering and verifying data in a timely manner.
