Summary of Role:
GlobalFoundries is seeking an experienced Technical Pre-sales Specialist to join our Partnerships & Business Development team creating, identifying, qualifying, and securing new business within the Aerospace, Defense and Critical Infrastructure end market. The primary function of the Technical Pre-sales Specialist is to develop, communicate and drive overall account technical engagement strategies aligned with defined Battlegrounds, to deliver robust revenue growth and market share expansion within the highest potential Aerospace and Defense clients.

The candidate selected for this position will be focused on the RF application sector - point to point communications, millimeter Wave designs in radar and harsh environment including Satellite Communications.

This critical role is part of a Sales team identifying, qualifying, and securing new business with assigned A&D clients while at the same time providing a high level of operational service to these clients on existing programs.

Essential Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop customized technical presentations and proposals to assist customers in the evaluation of our solutions
  • Take ownership over GF technology demonstration and drive design win closure strategy and process
  • Serve as single technical interface to customer and coordinate all technical sales interaction
  • Offer most credible representation of strengths and weaknesses of the GF technology (internally & externally)
  • Formulate customer requirements and promote a compelling GF design solution and convey our value proposition
  • Identify and propose solutions to gaps and bottlenecks in the GF product and service portfolio to meet customer requirements (maybe)
  • Collaborate and leverage GF product marketing/design solutions/technology development teams, and provide real time customer feedback
  • Understand competitive design/technology/product landscape including emerging technology trends and competitive threats
  • Continuously learn about the customer and product, developing relationships, gathering intelligence, uncovering new opportunities
  • Ensure that issues/obstacles/questions to a design in are resolved either directly or by engaging internal experts
  • Gather, summarize and drive team to close the technical gaps in our offerings that result in design win losses and/or misses in new revenue opportunities
  • Strong teamwork and inter-personal skills
  • Written and verbal communications skills is a must with the ability to Effectively Communicate with All Levels of an Organizational Structure
  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or Related Discipline
  • Minimum 10 years of Experience in Semiconductor IC Design/ System design/ Semiconductor IC or System Test in High performance RF technologies
  • Demonstrated ability in business development within the US Defense Industrial Base and/or related US Government Agencies
  • Travel Requirements: 25% (Domestic)
  • Applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., Or a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a) (3),"
  • Must be eligible to obtain and keep a SECRET level U.S. Government security clearance and cannot have dual citizenship
  • Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal)

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree and or PhD in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or related discipline
  • Understanding of IC product design including architecture, implementation, tool flow, reliability, and processing requirements.
  • Exposure to one or more of Digital / Analog Mixed Signal/HV Power/eNVM/Millimeter Wave/Silicon Photonics IC product design highly desirable
  • Foundry integration/ Process Technology Development is highly desirable
  • SoC product integration/design experiences highly desirable.
  • Direct foundry experience highly desirable
  • Strong Communication, Organization, Presentation, Inter-personal and Influencing Skills
  • Experience with advanced-node semiconductor technologies and devices.

Expected Salary Range
$138,000.00 - $221,500.00

The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.
