Job Description Summary
This role focuses on leading the development and implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) strategies in the organization. The AI Strategist will play a key role in advising on AI trends, aligning AI initiatives with business goals, and promoting innovation in AI technologies. This position is also responsible for developing policies and procedures for using AI tools and providing training to ensure their safe and effective use.
This position will also provide hands-on technical leadership, management, vision, strategic direction, and mentoring for multiple development teams within the eLearning & Technology Solutions department. The eLearning & Technology Solutions team provides customized eLearning content and training-related software systems for district organizations, the WTCS, and FVTC.

Job Description
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Identify and evaluate opportunities for AI solutions to enhance business processes.
• Liaise with various stakeholders to understand AI needs and applications.
• Conduct workshops and training sessions to build AI Literacy within the organization.
• Oversee AI project management, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
• Stay updated on the latest developments in AI and machine learning technologies.
• Advocate for ethical AI practices within the organization.
• Collaborate with IT to integrate AI solutions.
• Provide thought leadership in AI, influencing long-term strategies and policies.
• Continuously research new technology services and solutions that could drive new strategy, enhance business capabilities, create new business models, and drive innovation.

SECONDARY JOB FUNCTIONS

• Participate on institutional committees, projects, task forces, etc. as appropriate.
• Supports the values and institutional goals as defined in the College's Strategic Plan
• Monitor and report on the performance of AI implementations
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards related to AI Technologies
• Contribute to the development of AI-related policies and best practices.

QUALIFICATIONS, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's Degree in management information systems, management/business, or a related field is required; Master's Degree desired, AND,
• Five to eight years of recent related experience, including leadership experience is required, AND,
• Demonstrated experience in project management, AND,
• Expertise in selling, defining client expectations, building, and closing eLearning and custom software system projects.
• Knowledge of the capabilities and applications of information systems is desired, OR
• An equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and ability can be acquired is necessary.

Additional Information

Pay: $87,500.00 - $140,100.00 per year.

Pay is based on a multitude of factors, including experience, qualifications, education, relevant certifications, internal equity, and market data. Note: Internal applicants' wages will be based on the applicable compensation structure.
