The Innovation Analyst role plays a key role in strategic growth planning and supporting the ideation, advancement, and execution of the business growth agenda through product and packaging platform innovation. This position supports long term growth by leveraging consumer, channel, and customer insights to drive innovation into the marketplace to deliver the strategic plan.

This position will report to the Innovation Director and will collaborate with business partners in Category, Marketing, R&D, Operations, Supply Chain, and Sales to champion growth initiatives across go-to-market channels.

How you will make contributions that matter...

• Develop POV on category trends, consumer need states, brand dynamics, and competition to stay ahead of the curve on our pipeline development. Proactively seek trends through syndicated sources, industry events, and social media and "capture" relevant trends on Saputo's content management platform, Sharpr.
• Develop and maintain Saputo's concept tracking database, reporting on innovation concepts by category, innovation type (sustaining, incremental, disruptive, radical) and implementation timeline (short, medium, long).
• Support front-end concept development process which includes trend identification, concept ideation, market sizing validation, and consumer positioning to bring opportunities to Stage Gate 1 (executing market research where required).
• Attend monthly stage gate meetings, recording action items and reporting back to meeting participants on tasks requiring attention.
• Support research initiatives by drafting project briefs, survey questionnaires, and managing third party research teams to keep projects on track and on budget.
• Support the planning and executing of ideation sessions with internal and external participants, and integrate outputs with Saputo's concept tracking database.
• Develop relationships with Category Management, Marketing, Sales, R&D, and Operations for seamless connection from ideation to launch.

You are best suited for the role if you...

• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, advertising, communications, or a related field
• High attention to detail and quality standards
• Excellent proactive written and verbal communication skills
• Takes initiative to advance objectives without waiting for explicit instructions
• Ability to manage several project concurrently, consistently meeting or exceeding deadlines
• Strong cross-functional management skills with demonstrated ability to effectively utilize internal resources to meet project deadlines and objectives
• Ability to manage and co-ordinate the end-to-end development process while meeting deadlines and budget requirements
• Travel up to 30% of the time may be needed.
