About the role

The Analyst of Merchandise Planning is responsible for supporting the Planning team on the creation, management and execution of sales and inventory plans to deliver or exceed financial goals of their own area. The Analyst ensures that hindsight, assortment framework and financial strategies are built in a way that service the NA market by gathering and assessing data and partnering with the inventory planning teams.

Analyst, Planning supports a department with the below responsibilities:

What you'll do

  • Provide data analysis to support business recaps, in-season forecasting/OTB buying, and demand driven buying efforts
  • Execute in-season price strategies (promo/MD)
  • Support/Own style level, bottoms-up sales and inventory plans
  • Provide data analysis to support tops/down sales and inventory plans that align with division objectives
  • Collaborate with the merchant team to develop and communicate business opportunities based on data analysis conducted.

Who you are

  • Ability to evaluate financial and business indicators and translate data into actionable recommendations to Drive for Results
  • Keep Customer Focus in mind when making decisions
  • Accountability: Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple deliverables and priorities
  • Demonstrates Growth Mindset, bringing a problem-solver mentality (vs. problem spotter)
  • Minimum 1 to 2 years inventory management experience
  • Four year college degree or equivalent required
