About the Role

Uber Freight is looking for an Application Developer III with a deep understanding of multi-tier software systems and experience with fullstack web development. The candidate will understand development and innovative services in the cloud, leverage best capabilities in cloud based services, and can build software.

What the Candidate Will Do

• Develop high quality software - readable, maintainable & efficient.
• You will mentor team members to improve their technical knowledge and promote engineering excellence
• Adheres to safe coding practices from security, dependency and risk mitigation perspectives.
• Collaborate with the stakeholders.
• Active involvement in all scrum ceremonies.
• Active participation in code reviews and ability to critique the code based on patterns, time complexity and risks.
• Translate business requirements into the design and implementation of features and functionality required to deliver the required results.
• Ability to picks up complex requirements and independently design and implement the solutions.
• Ability to create high quality technical documentation and result oriented POCs, and able to present and discuss openly the ideas to others.
• Should have a thirst for knowledge, continuous learning and improvement. Works towards continual improvement of the systems by refactoring code of business functionalities or technical platform.
• Ability to unblock themselves and others.
• Demonstrated ability to learn from own mistakes or mistakes of the teams.
• Assist project leadership in creating estimations of work for client projects, participating in interviews, and determining the project software development schedule.
• Work with version control complexities including multiple concurrent branches, and multi-branch merges.
• Perform unit and integration testing in a deployment environment to verify the delivered implementation meets the given requirements.
• Provides support for implementations to Business Analysts and Technical Support in resolving production issues and providing key contributions in resolution.
• Provide testing support to QA during functional, regression, and user acceptance testing.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
• At-least 6 years of related software development experience

Preferred Qualifications

• 7-10 years of experience in building enterprise based applications
• strong experience in working with C# and SQL
• Cloud based architecture, Azure or AWS (willing to move to Azure Cloud)
• Excellent troubleshooting skill
• Mastery of dependency management, database, performance tuning, and risk management
• Awareness and fluency in using monitoring, logging and debugging tools
