A.T. Still University's Arizona School of Health Sciences (ATSU-ASHS) invites applications for a full-time, tenure track, audiology faculty position with rank and salary commensurate with experience and qualifications. This position will be located on the Mesa, Arizona campus. Primary duties will be developing and delivering assigned instructional components of the AuD curriculum. Responsibilities will include teaching and evaluating students in classes; working within the Department of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology to contribute to team-teaching, comprehensive exams, student advising, recruitment and assigned departmental administrative duties (i.e. working on admissions committee, or accreditation documents, etc.).

Position: The Department of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology at A.T. Still University - Arizona School of Health Sciences (ATSU-ASHS) is seeking to fill a full-time, 12-month, tenure-track faculty position with rank (Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor) and salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Qualifications: Qualified candidates must possess a doctoral degree (PhD or equivalent is preferred, AuD applicants will be considered) and be licensed or eligible for audiology licensure in Arizona. Candidates must have advanced knowledge in areas of audiology practice and/or instruction appropriate for the needs of the department, university teaching experience and/or experience supervising students, strong interpersonal communication skills and strong computer skills. Prior independent practice in audiology, a sustained record of scholarly productivity, and evidence of professional and community service are also viewed as favorable for this position.

Duties of the Position:

  • Recruiting potential students and mentoring/advising students within the program
  • Completing assigned departmental administrative duties related to admissions, accreditation, curriculum review and other needs
  • Participating in service to the university, profession and community
  • Engaging in scholarly activities
  • Clinical supervision and/or provision of clinical services, as needed

The faculty role also involves participating in service to the university and profession; scholarship and clinical supervision/direct patient care, as needed.

Potential teaching areas include: Anatomy and physiology, neurodiagnostics, OAEs, tinnitus, professional roles and ethics, occupational and environmental hearing conservation, and possible other areas of expertise.

Required Qualifications:
  • Doctoral degree in audiology (AuD, PhD or equivalent degree in audiology);
  • Eligibility for Arizona audiology licensure;
  • Advanced knowledge in areas of audiology practice or instruction appropriate for the needs of the department;
  • Academic experience teaching and/or supervising students; strong interpersonal communication skills; strong computer skills.

Additional Desired Qualifications:
  • Clinical audiology experience;
  • Record of professional and community service;
  • PhD and record of scholarly productivity.
