RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking an Assembler in Omaha, NE.Summary:We're looking for a Senior Application Analyst with experience in mainframe systems. You will be working on Issuer Processing Solutions platforms used by many financial institutes. The Assembler will be providing system and application support for a multi-architecture application including mainframe and end-to-end application delivery. This is a multi-platform environment to include mainframe, client server, and web applications. You will be responding to system and application issues, performing 2nd tier client support, leading hardware and software upgrades, disaster recovery procedures, system audits, and implementing client programming projects. It's a customer focused application analysis position with an emphasis on analyzing business requirements, creating functional technical designs, and code development utilizing COBOL in a DB2 database environment.Essential Job Responsibilities:- Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders on design strategies for client implementation projects
- Consult with project teams and functional units on the design of important projects or services
- Develop program logic for new applications or analyzes and modifies logic in existing applications
- Performance tuning and testing of mainframe code, troubleshooting performance problems, preparing code for deployment, and finishing all necessary SDLC documentation
- Code, test, debug, document, implement and maintain software applications
- Maintain, test, and integrate application component
- Provide recommendations towards the development of new code or reuse of existing code
- Analyze complex requirements and translates business languages such as Java, C, or C++
- Analyze complex requirements and translates business requirements into product designs
- Write functional and technical specifications and other forms of documentation
REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience in the full Software Development Life Cycle and Testing Methodologies
- Strong verbal and written communication, with ability to interact with all levels of an organization
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
