The Department of SA Marketing/Communications & Student Media is seeking an Assistant Director, Student Media - Boca Raton, FL.

The Assistant Director of Student Media will assist the Director of Student Media in the day-to-day operations of the department including, budget oversight, strategic planning and other departmental duties as assigned. Additionally, the Assistant Director of Student Media will teach a broadcast journalism (TV) course per academic semester in the School of Communication and Multimedia Studies. This position reports to the Director of Student Media.

Summary of responsibilities include:

  • Advise Owl TV and Owl Radio.
  • Provide journalistic training for students.
  • Teach broadcast journalism course in the SCMS.
  • Assist Director of Student Media with day-to-day operations of the department.
  • Establish connections with media companies in the community.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:Master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience; or a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and four years of appropriate experience required.
