Job Description:


The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Binghamton University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of assistant professor, beginning in Fall 2024. Priority will be given to candidates in broadly defined Topology/Geometry. The successful candidate must have a strong record of research and teaching and would complement and/or strengthen our existing research group. Current research in the department includes algebra, analysis, combinatorics, geometry/topology, probability, and statistics. Opportunities for collaborative research are provided through research groups such as various Organized Research Centers and six Transdisciplinary Areas of Excellence (in Data Science, Health Sciences, Smart Energy, etc.)



Requirements:


The minimum qualification for this position is a doctoral degree (PhD or equivalent) in mathematical sciences or a closely related field.
