Job Description

Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman has an immediate opening for a mid-level litigation associate with 2 to 4 years of litigation experience. Resident in the firm's Washington DC office, the ideal candidate will have experience in commercial litigation, including dispute resolution, civil matters, arbitration, mediation, white collar, fraud and tort claims. Experience with depositions, witness preparation, drafting motions, and trial preparation a plus. The candidate should have excellent communication skills, strong research and analytical skills, and the capacity to grow into new areas of legal practice.

It is required that the candidate have a bachelor's degree and a juris doctorate degree (JD) from an accredited law school. Excellent academic performance is highly valued. The candidate should be a member or eligible to become a member of the District of Columbia Bar. The ideal candidate should have knowledge of ethics and conduct codes which are a requirement for the proper and legal practice of the law.
