The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping programmatic direction, fostering collaborations, and advancing women's health equity.Job DescriptionWe are seeking an Associate Director for The Center for Women's Health and Reproductive Medicine (CWHRM) to provide strategic leadership and administrative oversight for our comprehensive women's health initiatives. Reporting to the Director of CWHRM, the Associate Director will perform a broad range of administrative and operational functions to support the day to day activity as well as the long term goals and planning of the center and its mission. The primary function of this position is in managing the organization of the Center, including responsibilities for: obtaining and integrating information from leadership and faculty to help with mission development, ongoing strategic planning, outreach, and being the primary contact for all those doing business with the Center, including partnering departments, school leadership, Development office, etc. This position will be tasked with assisting Director in cultivating relationships with partnering departments and leaders integral to Women's Health, organizing meetings to further develop mission and strategic goals and maintaining focus on meeting those goals. Assisting Center leadership with their organizational needs; development and execution of communications strategies for the Center, organizing symposia and board meetings, overseeing development of content and creating and maintaining the web site and any public social media accounts. The Associate Director will routinely talk with the Director, scientists and clinicians within the Center, be familiar with their research and health benefit implications at an educated lay level, and act as a liaison to communicate such advances to stakeholders and interested parties, including any advisory boards, the Development office, the Penn Center for Innovation, the press and potential donors. The Associate Director will work with constituents across the University and health system to promote the needs and profile of the Center. They will also oversee Administrative Support provided to the Center. This person must be able to work independently yet be highly collegial and professional. Position contingent upon continued funding.
This position will be considered for a hybrid schedule only after successful completion of introductory period and in agreement with the Director.
Master's degree and 5-7 years' experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates with masters in relevant field preferred.
