IU Human Resources supports the broader Indiana University academic and research mission, through a wide variety of strategic and operational functions related to recruiting, retaining, and developing a diverse employee workforce.

Job Summary

  • Coordinates daily benefit activities related to general benefits administration which may include but not limited to: ensuring accuracy of benefit enrollments and preparing files for vendors.
  • Provides benefits related customer service and support to internal and external customers.
  • May serve as a point of contact for vendors and third-party administrators.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable local and federal regulations assuring timeliness and accuracy of required filings.
  • Assists with Open Enrollment annually.
  • May research benefit issues, maintain employee systems information and perform transactions related to employee benefits.

Qualifications

EDUCATION

Required
  • High school diploma or GED
WORK EXPERIENCE

Required
  • 2 years in Benefits Administration or a related field
SKILLS

Required
  • Demonstrates customer service skills
  • Promotes information sharing
  • Articulate and responsive to colleagues
  • Excellent collaboration and team building skills
  • Demonstrates ability to maintain confidential information
  • Excellent organizational skills

Working Conditions / Demands

This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.

Work Location

Bloomington, Indiana or Indianapolis, Indiana

This position is eligible for remote work, subject to change based on university policy and business needs.
