This person must have product development and brand marketing experience."title":"Primary Duties & Responsibilities","content":" The Brand Manager will have responsibility for optimizing short and long term volume and profit performance for a brand portfolio by developing, championing & executing the strategic vision. Lead the annual planning process which includes financial & business analysis, consumer planning, leading agency partners and P&L development including sales and profit objectives; ensure brand budgets including advertising & promotional expenditures are accurate and appropriate. Provide timely and comprehensive analysis of objectives, execution, and future planning implications. Regularly analyze business performance (shipment and consumption) to gauge performance. Lead overall vision for product pipeline, development strategies and product portfolio mix. Develop and direct consumer research strategies, and execute in partnership with Consumer Insights. Develop and manage agency relationships (creative, media, PR, etc) from briefings to execution to measurement. Develop compelling stories working with Sales and Consumer Insights teams in the development and execution of high-quality, insights-driven, retailer or channel specific solutions that link to brand strategies. Maintain up-to-date competitive benchmarking, in partnership with Category and Consumer Insights. Serve as the lead "voice" for assigned brand portfolio for all key constituencies, including sales, R&D, regulatory, operations and finance. Collaborate with global counterparts to extend or develop opportunities for their product portfolio and marketing campaigns. Other duties as assigned."title":"Education and Experience Profile","content":" Bachelor's degree required, MBA strongly preferred. 6+ years of packaged goods brand management experience with a record of increasing responsibility and delivering proven results. 4+ years of profit and loss responsibility, including marketing budget management. Experience managing and developing direct reports. Has managed all four key areas of marketing responsibility (the four "p's"): product development, pricing, promotion & advertising, and place (channel/distribution strategy). Experience leveraging internal/external business performance data to inform strategic decisions.
