This role is designed for a candidate looking to eventually move into a Business Unit Manager role running a business/Laboratory. This role is for our US Testing Food division where financial analysis and project management is the day to day role. This role will introduce the candidate into the lab industry and provide them with management training through formal training, networking opportunities and informal project learnings.

The Business Analystposition is aFull-Time position, Monday-Friday with hours from 8AM - 5PM CST. Individuals located in a driving distance of the Madison, WI or Des Moines, IAlocations are encouraged to apply.

Job Description

  • Demonstrates and promotes the company vision
  • Assist with providing the necessary planning, organization, direction, and control to meet the goals of the company.
  • Establish and maintain professional business relationships with clients, industry officials, and peers.
  • Contribute to the Corporate Management team and provide input toward the financial growth and development of the company.
  • Contribute to projects for the overall operational success of the laboratory
  • Assist with optimization of day to day operations of the business
  • Understand and follow each Quality System document relevant to employment responsibilities, e.g., methods, SOPs, etc. when contributing to projects
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • MBA preferred
  • Business acumen in projects involving pricing, operations, employee turnover, etc.
  • Strong initiative and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
  • Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
  • Strong excel skills, financial results reporting, budgeting, as well as any combination of lab/scientific operations experience, leadership experience, or entrepreneurial experience with accountability for P&L
  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • 2+ years in financial operations, project management and/or technical functions
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
