Vertiv is hiring a Buyer (materials) in Delaware, OH who will purchase goods and services according to departmental and organizational purchasing agreements/contracts, policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Purchases goods and services according to the company's policies and procedures.
• Processes purchase requisitions and fulfills purchase orders for the procurements of materials (and other goods and services as needed).
• Ensures that purchasing documents are complete and accurate and include appropriate and reasonable terms and conditions.
• Supports internal customer i.e. Material Manager/Planner to maintain optimal inventory levels.
• Develops and implements strategies for cost reduction, supplier consolidation, quality improvement and process efficiencies.
• Negotiates with suppliers for favorable terms including volume and cash transaction discounts, and other available discounts.
• Evaluates vendors based on price, reliability, capability, and previous transaction history.
• Maintains pricing histories and other vendor records.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in related field highly preferred.

Requirements:

• 1-3 years of experience
