Job Description Summary
This position is based in the Penn Frontotemporal Degeneration Center, part of the Department of Neurology of the University of Pennsylvania's Perelman School of Medicine. The purpose of this position is to coordinate phase I-III clinical Trials through the University of Pennsylvania Frontotemporal Degeneration Center. This position involves working with patients who have rare neurodegenerative diseases, often individuals who are mutation carriers, and may exhibit difficulties with language, behavior, memory, and movement. Responsibilities include: Pre-trial activities such as helping to develop budgets; Participating in budget negotiations for new clinical trials; Coordinating interdepartmental trial related activities; Creating study documents per protocol, such us source documents, smart phrase in EMC; Recruiting, consenting, and enrolling patients; Performing assessments according to the protocol including neuropsychological testing, questionnaires for patients and caregiver; Performing clinical assessments such as phlebotomy, vitals, ECG, and assisting with lumbar punctures; Scheduling, obtaining, and shipping MRI imaging; Handling, processing and shipping of biohazardous materials; Data entry; Query management; Managing budgets and invoicing for clinical trials; Preparing and submitting IRB documents for clinical trials; Maintaining regulatory documents and binder for clinical trials per University of Pennsylvania, FDA, and GCP standards and guidelines.

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree with 1-2 years of related experience in research and clinical study methodologies or equivalent combination of education and experience is required
