Construction Assistant:

A well established client of Ultimate Staffing is looking for an entry level construction professional to assist the Construction Manager. This position is designed to be a temporary role that allows for adequate time and exposure to the general construction processes with a goal to be promoted within the team to a Project Manager.

Responsible for daily communication with project Managers and Subcontractors on building progress from start to finish. Conduct daily jobs site walk throughs with a focus on safety and overall cleanliness. Cross training in other disciplines as needed and willing to jump in on special projects.

Pay:$20-$23 an hour

Responsibilities:

• Assist Construction Manager with all construction responsibilities including supervision and scheduling.
• To have complete knowledge and understanding of the job and expectations of the customer.
• Daily monitoring of jobsite cleanliness and of repairs for all interior and exterior maintenance concerns.
• Attend weekly meetings with project Managers and provide update of job progress.
• Perform all other duties as assigned with an emphasis on safety, cleanliness and ultimately learning all aspects of the construction process.

Qualifications:

• One (1) year of homebuilding or related experience preferred
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Valid driver's license
• Excellent attitude and ambition to learn
• Excellent organizational skills required
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic skills in Microsoft Office
• Understand and follow work rules and procedures
• Strong work ethic
• Accept constructive feedback
• Team player
