The Contracts and Procurement Specialist will primarily assist and support the Chief Legal Officer with contracts and procurement matters.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Partner with HPOne's business units to gather vendor needs/goals as requests arrive
  • Lead vendor assessment process on all prospective vendors (including risk management assessment)
  • Draft, revise and negotiate vendor contracts based on HPOne's procurement process and authority granted by CLO
  • Perform vendor contract audits to ensure terms are compliant with our procurement process
  • Manage contract system/warehouse/signature process
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2-4 years of experience managing vendors and negotiating vendor contracts
  • Demonstrate an ability to interpret, draft, and understand legal documents
  • Ability to conduct legal research
  • Highly organized, with the ability to keep others similarly organized
  • Ability to multitask, effectively prioritize and meet deadlines for multiple simultaneous projects
  • Exhibit exceptional attention to detail
  • Exhibit excellent communication skills, both written and interpersonal
  • Successful experience working directly with executive level employees
  • Ability to maintain a high-level of professionalism and confidentiality, as appropriate
  • Demonstrate flexibility and ability to work independently and in a team/collaborative environment

Preferred Skills/Abilities:

  • Associates degree or higher

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, typically in a cubicle environment (constant noise, fluorescent overhead lighting)
