With the guidance of the Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis, and leveraging Microsoft PowerBI, this position will support and enhance current Power BI data models while also developing new Power BI data models to track key business initiatives. Individuals in this position are expected to develop a broad knowledge of Waystar's business, industry, and operations in order to support analysis and decision making at all levels of the organization.

• Lead development of new Power BI data models tied to key business initiatives
• Support and enhance (as needed) current Power BI data models
• Be additional subject matter expert on Power BI
• Drive business value and performance through innovative data analytics
• Proactively and independently identify opportunities for improvement
• Gathering, combining, and analyzing data from a variety of sources and systems
• Developing and implementing new metrics of business, financial, and operational performance
• Automating and streamlining business process to arrive at the right answer faster

What we're looking for:

Do you fit our team?

• Bachelor degree in finance, business, accounting, data science, or computer studies preferred
• 2-3+ years of similar work experience required
• Solid understanding of dimensional modelling concepts
• Working knowledge of Power Query, Power Pivot and Power BI
• Intermediate or better proficiency in DAX
• Experience building Power BI reports in desktop and cloud service
• Intermediate experience with SQL a plus
• Experience utilizing Azure data lake a plus
• Experience utilizing Azure Logic Apps a plus
