Join our team of competent and compassionate professionals as a Crisis Assessment Assistant in the Emergency Services Program at Behavioral Health Network!

**NOTICE**

In accordance with the BHN Mandatory COVID vaccine policy - all staff, interns, temps, residents and contractors are required to be fully vaccinated no later than day one of employment. Medical or religious exemptions will be offered and must be approved prior to starting work.

The same guidelines noted above apply during flu season (defined as December 1st - through end of flu season as announced by the CDC) for BHN's Mandatory Influenza Vaccine policy.

Your experience, knowledge and great skills will support the Emergency Services Program with the following:

  • Provide support to master's level clinicians in both community-based locations, ED locations and in mobile intervention services.
  • Assists clinicians in preparing releases and authorizations; Assist clients in emergency department with accessing their telehealth visit with a remote crisis clinician.
  • Opens and close telehealth appointments for remote crisis clinicians.
  • Monitor clients during their remote telehealth appointment in order to ensure client safety.
  • Provide non-clinical collateral contacts, as requested.
  • Assist in implementation of the disposition determined by the master's level clinician.
The Emergency Services program provides crisis intervention and stabilization services to children and adolescents throughout the Southern Pioneer Valley. The MCI program through BHN is the designated Emergency Service Provider for the Southern Pioneer Valley. What are we looking for in a Crisis Assessment Assistant?

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum 9 months direct experience working with adult mental health population. (Required)
  • High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
  • bilingual (English/Spanish) (preferred)
  • Solid understanding of computers and technology.
  • Motivational interviewing skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be comfortable with using telehealth technology or willing to be trained
