RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's client in Allentown, PA has an immediate need for a Data Engineering Manager on a contract to hire basis.Summary:As a Data Engineering Manager, you can expect to be a hands-on lead data engineer in creating an inspiring and productive work environment for other data engineers and building collaborative solutions with other teams. You are technically engaged with your team and their projects, not only guiding career growth and delivery efforts of the team, but establishing best practices, driving quality, and championing reliability and governance standards.REQUIREMENTS:
- Seasoned Data Engineer with experience in building data lakes
- Well-versed in using Python, SQL, Redshift, and AWS services
- Competent in creating data lakes and integrating data in AWS
- Experience in building, mentoring, and growing an engineering team
- Experience building and operating large scale production data pipelines
- CI/CD processes and source control tools such as GitHub and related DevOps processes
- Exceptional at communicating technical concepts
- A passion for data solutions and willingness to pick up new programming languages, technologies, and frameworks
- Desire to learn new technologies and ability to analyze the applicability of a technology in business context
- Adept at defining and articulating a product vision, future roadmap in collaboration with leadership and key partners
- Proven track record of managing projects and delivering projects on time and on budget
- Strong analytical skills with an emphasis on data-driven decision making
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
