At the intersection of these pillars, the Data & Analytics Center of Excellence is building the data foundation and a catalog of data products, analytical applications, and enterprise services that give users across our company the tools, data, and guidance to generate insights.

The Data Product Lead will be responsible for leading, implementing and maintaining the real-time data acquisition and collection of OT (operational technology) data from LYB manufacturing plant sites in a secured, reliable and optimal manner. The lead will be responsible for the OT Data Product line addressing standard data governance and data management to implement the roadmap.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Collaborate and drive the technical vision and delivery for OT/IoT solution at enterprise scale to modernize and mature plant data collection process and technology across LYB sites.
  • Engage with multiple teams both inside and outside the Data & Analytics CoE, such as the product teams, Enterprise Architecture team, etc. to work on the execution, solution and leading the end-to-end real time OT data acquisition and management.
  • Detail out and refine higher-level architecture decisions into a lower-level executional design working with the technical and security architects.
  • Establish the OT real time data foundations for a reliable and sustainable enterprise solution that enables high value impact use cases.
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with our partner organizations, helping to align our technical efforts with external needs.
  • Work with vendor solutions to implement
  • Responsible for the complete implementation of detailed technical items and an understanding of system-level items provided by the vendor and work with them to enable future roadmap software features as needed by LYB
  • Clearly and crisply communicate architectural decisions, plans, and standards for the products we create and support.
  • Proactively support and Implement processes for application, database code deployment and synchronization across environments.
  • Lead technical team members to deliver and support all features of the OT data acquisition product.
  • Lead the build out of reliable and end to end data monitoring and Data quality products.
  • Report on metrics associated with the services and programs and in relation to the quarterly and annual objectives.
  • Coordinate and effectively communicate across internal and external teams inclusive on progress status, roadblocks and mitigation plans.
  • Own and maintain the product back log and lead to execution using Agile methodology.

Min. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Solid understanding and actual hands-on experience in developing secured real-time data streaming solutions at scale.
  • 10+ years hands-on experience in architecting, developing, and successfully operationalizing complex/large scale data management projects involving real-time data streaming.
  • At least 3-5 years' experience in SQL / Python and any other programming language.
  • At least 4-6 years of delivery experience on Cloud (Azure, GCP, Amazon).
  • At least 4-6 years of experience in MPP databases, data services, but not limited to, such as Azure data factory, Azure data lake store, Azure function apps, Azure SQL/ Data Warehouse.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in developing, designing, and deploying end to end batch / real-time solutions.
  • Relevant knowledge in network security architecture to integrate on prem and cloud systems.
  • Professional experience in developing optimized stored procedures and performing analytical functions on the data sets.
  • At least 4+ years of experienced in enterprise ETL tools like Data Services, SSIS, Informatica or likewise.
  • 4+ years of work experience in manufacturing domain such as Chemicals, Oil/Gas, etc.
  • Previously worked in agile and scrum
  • Results-oriented and self-motivated.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with real-time OT data ingestion products such as Uptake, Litmus, Emerson Plant Web Optics.
  • Some experience in working with Historians such as Aspen tech IP21, OSI PI, Honeywell, Bentley Nevada.
  • Experience in Control discipline such as Historians, Distributed control systems (DCS), Programmable logic controllers (PLC), Supervisory control and Data Acquisition (SCADA)
  • DevOps on a cloud platform
  • Real-time ingestion: Kafka, Confluent, Message queues.
  • IoT, event-driven, microservices, containers/Kubernetes in the cloud
  • Certifications in Azure or any cloud data products or services.
  • Understanding of statistics and mathematical techniques to solve real business problems.
  • Experience of Reporting and Analytics tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and Alteryx
  • Functional experience in manufacturing business domain.
  • Experience with global enterprise environment or major consulting firm is a plus.
