Position Purpose:
This Project Manager is the primary point of contact and subject matter expert with regard to the safe and proper management of DEA Controlled Substances and related chemicals. The Project Manager is also tasked with implementing all policies and procedure activities both at the Menomonee Falls facility and within Veolia's Central Branch. The person holding this position will work in partnership with the Reactives Managers and Environmental Health and Safety personnel on local and Branch projects. DEA materials include, but are not limited to: Schedule I-V Materials and associated materials requiring special handling.

Primary Duties/responsibilities:

  • DEA Program Improvement in the following areas: employee training, equipment maintenance, development of material handling procedures, quoting, paperwork creation, material repackaging/processing, discrepancy resolution, interaction with regulators, ARCOS Reporting and on-site/off-site project management.
  • Project management work may include event projects outside the scope of reactive material handling. Travel will be required.
  • 30% travel throughout the central and eastern part of the United States.

Qualifications

Education / Experience / Background:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a science field [or have equivalent experience]. 5 years of experience in managing hazardous and/or DEA Related materials is preferred. The individual will office at Menomonee Falls, WI location.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

  • Veolia procedures and associated software applications, relevant regulations, and regulatory agencies.
  • In addition, the candidate will also need to have strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking abilities. Most important, the candidate will need to have a strong commitment to process and safety.
