Desktop Support Engineer

Kforce is immediately adding a full-time Desktop Support Engineer in support of our nationally recognized, Consumer and Commercial Electronic R&D client in Swiftwater, PA. Duties include:
  • Replaces Device supplies as needed
  • Recycle and return used supplies
  • Return of unused surplus supplies
  • Clear paper jams as needed
  • Assist Customer with use of company devices
  • The Desktop Support Engineer will respond to calls that printer is not functioning and be able to engage break/fix support for repairs
  • Provides adequate supplies are available at the Customer location
  • May collect manual page counts at Device, depending on billing infrastructure or non- networked Devices
  • Provide initial troubleshooting for Device problems and/or perform spare Device replacements
  • Perform preventative maintenance on Device fleet as directed by the CSM
  • Cleaning of the scanning glass and the device
  • Provide end-user basic function training as required
  • Provides initial troubleshooting for Device problems and/or perform spare Device replacements
  • Responds to Alerts from WJA for toner replacement, paper jams, etc.
  • Perform moves of the devices within the site
  • Assists in IMAC activity
  • Opens Printer related trouble tickets with Customers help desk and is contact/escort for triaging
  • Receive new device deliveries from carriers
  • The Desktop Support Engineer will return devices that are being removed from the site
  • Firmware updates on the devices
  • Requesting of ip address reservation
  • Updating device information in DCC
  • Non Reporting Device troubleshooting


  • Candidates must have experience in the duties listed to qualify for this role
  • Any education or related certifications are a plus
  • Ability to update/close out tickets in Sanofi's Service Now ticketing system

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.

Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
