Primary Job Purpose

The Digital Product Marketing Manager I executes marketing and communication tactics to promote Digital Solutions products to internal partners and external stakeholders. Provides marketing consultation to effectively position the value of digital properties in the sales process and for our members. Supports opportunities to incorporate Digital Solutions' value and vision across company initiatives.

The Senior level position is also responsible for developing broad marketing and communication strategies and presentations to promote overall Digital vision to internal partners.

General Functions and Outcomes

  • Collaborates with multiple departments, including Sales, IT, Customer Support, Marketing, Health Care Services and Strategic Communications, to promote website properties and effectively communicate the Digital Solutions strategy.
  • Supports creation and distribution of easy-to-understand release communications, including release notes, slide decks and appropriate support materials.
  • Supports go-to-market planning and execution activities for Digital Solutions products and enhancements, including stakeholder meetings, communication planning and business readiness documentation.
  • Coordinates with business processes to develop Digital Solutions collateral and support materials for internal, producer, provider and employer audiences.
  • Understands product roadmaps and strategy through regular meetings with Digital Solutions Product Owners/Managers; ensures communication and business readiness strategies and tactics are in alignment with product vision and roadmap.
  • Ensures that Member Services and Sales teams, including ASO, group, Medicare and individual/exchange, have training tools and detailed knowledge of product capabilities to fully support selling and member support activities.
  • Serves as Digital Solutions subject matter expert for RFP responses and drives the creation & submission of compliance, regulatory and accreditation filings as needed.
  • Maintains Digital Solutions' intranet pages with department news and resources for internal stakeholders.
  • Delivers educational presentations and acts as product champion across key internal stakeholders and external customers.


Additional General Functions and Outcomes for Senior level:
  • Provides training to new team members and other colleagues by serving as a mentor both within and outside of the department.
  • Leads strategic discussions with key stakeholders, including Sales, IT, Customer Support, Marketing, Health Care Services and Strategic Communications, to promote website properties and effectively communicate the Digital strategy.
  • Coordinates with technical teams to create easy-to-understand release communications, including release notes, slide decks and appropriate support materials.
  • Develops and drives go-to-market strategy for Digital products and enhancements, including stakeholder meetings, communication planning and business readiness documentation.
  • Creates Digital communication strategy and key messages for internal, producer, provider and employer communication deliverables, such as newsletter articles and digital collateral, in coordination with key internal stakeholders.
  • Suggests improvements for digital properties that meet customer needs; work with Product Managers/Owners to see those improvements through to completion.


Minimum Requirements
  • Ability to work with highly confidential information.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing marketing plans.
  • Strong communication skills. Strong PowerPoint skills that effectively communicate complicated concepts in an engaging way. Solid presentation and demo skills in front of stakeholders and customers. Ability to speak and write clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and styles.
  • Demonstrated experience working with Sales on account strategy.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and other components of Microsoft Office software.
  • Experience in and knowledge of the health insurance industry preferred.
  • Deep understanding of marketing fundamentals.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and able to interact successfully at all levels within the organization and with external audiences.
  • Must be flexible and able to meet sudden and unpredictable needs. Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively, assimilate information quickly, analyze problems, implement appropriate solutions and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently while successfully working on a team.


Additional Minimum Requirements for Senior level:
  • Demonstrated leadership and influence skills with the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders and leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to delegate and assign responsibility for tasks, set clear objectives and measures and monitor work, assess progress, evaluate results and provide feedback to others.


Normally to be proficient in the competencies listed above

Digital Product Marketing Manager I would have a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business or related field and five to seven years of experience in digital product marketing, internal communications and sales support. Demonstrated proficiency in the above competencies may be substituted for this requirement.

Digital Product Marketing Manager II would have a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business or related field and seven to ten years of experience in digital product marketing, internal communications and/or sales support. Demonstrated proficiency in the above competencies may be substituted for this requirement.

Work Environment
  • No unusual working conditions.
  • Work primarily performed in office environment.
  • Travel may be required, locally or out of state.
  • May be required to work outside normal hours
