WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Tealium is looking for a motivated Director of Solutions Consulting to join our extremely talented Pre-Sales Solutions Consulting team, who are instrumental to Tealium's growth. As the Director of Solutions Consulting, you will build a high-growth business together with the sales, customer success, and marketing leadership. The ideal candidate will have experience building and developing high performing pre-sales teams as well as broad experience in account strategy and coaching and a desire to plan and execute impactful business development events. The Tealium Sales team will rely on you to collaborate with them to yield strategic customer outcomes through your own experiences, your digital marketing acumen, and, more importantly, through the efforts of your highly talented team.

You will be responsible for talent acquisition and development, account strategy execution, and cross-functional cooperation with every area of the organization in order to grow the business.

Reporting directly to the RVP of Solutions Consulting for the Americas, you will be a key member of the field leadership team for Tealium and will be responsible for all pre-sales aspects of the business for your assigned territories. YOUR DAY TO DAY

    • Directly manage a team by identifying, communicating, and discussing team goals and objectives
    • Provide strategic product/service advice and technical guidance to sales representatives, partners, and prospects
    • Manage, motivate, hire, develop and engage the Tealium SC team
    • Contribute field knowledge and feedback to direct future product requirements/enhancements, and associated input on prioritisation based on real world experience with Tealium customers and prospects
    • Enhance pre-sales demonstration environments and materials
    • Engage with sales and colleagues in ongoing knowledge sharing and subject matter growth
    • Drive strategic growth and demonstrate thought leadership throughout the team
    • Facilitate the free flow of ideas within the team
    • Mentor team members to encourage career development and foster skillset adaptation
    • Serve as a senior technical resource for customer related issues, assisting with advanced customer applications
    • Document team processes, work results, and manage all corporate processes associated with operational aspects of the SC team management
    • Review quotes, RFIs, and Security Assessments
    • Oversee all customer engagements in the regions under management, facilitate the delivery excellence of the SCs for each Opportunity and support associated Sales teams.

WHAT SKILLS YOU'LL NEED

    • Experience as a pre-sales consultant / architect within the enterprise infrastructure software industry and a minimum of 3 years pre-sales management experience
    • Strong, rational thinker with demonstrated command of value based sales models
    • Effective in customer facing/live engagements
    • Effective interpersonal skills to create senior and executive relationships with key customer stakeholders
    • Proven record of strategizing on large, complex sales
    • Strong career trajectory, history of top performance in successive roles
    • Compelling leader who can effectively develop trust to supportively coach and positively impact team motivation
    • Track record in building organizations and hiring and training top talent
    • Exemplary cognitive skills
    • Strong academic record
    • Experience in successfully contributing to the growth of a hyper-growth company or start up is desirable, but not required

WHAT YOU'LL ACHIEVE

30 days:

Quickly on board and continue to build a world class team through diligent recruiting activities, hiring, developing, and coaching a complete team of Solutions Consultants

60 days:

Lead the pre-sales team and the pre-sales function, including personally driving strategic enterprise account engagement in cooperation with cross-functional leadership. Account activities will include opportunity coaching and account strategy development with an emphasis in helping our customers achieve their intended business outcomesConnect with other industry leaders to develop an impactful set of industry go-to-market activities including but not limited to marketing assets, workshops, webinars, hackathons, etc.

90 days:

In conjunction with your leadership chain, develop and execute a comprehensive business plan ensuring that your territory achieves and exceeds its fiscal year business commitments.Educate yourself on Tealium's Customer Data Platform to enhance your ability to coach your team

12 months:

Participate in the continuous improvement of Tealium products by making technical contributions and by providing feedback from the field to Product Marketing and EngineeringIn cooperation with your leadership and cross-functional partners, plan the business for the next fiscal year

Additional requirements for the position include the following:

Must be located in North America When travel resumes.
