Job DescriptionDISTRIBUTION OPERATOR- MACON, GA
The Select Groups' utility client is seeking a Distribution Operator. This person needs to currently reside in either Macon, GA or McDonough, GA area as this role will require onsite work. This position will provide an entensive 32 week training program.
DISTRIBUTION OPERATOR REQUIREMENTS:

• Basic computer skills and technology knowledge
• Outstanding customer service & communication skills
• Willingness & ability to work through high pressure situations & prioritize work
• Any engineering experience (electrical, mechanical, or civil)
• Must be willing and able to work on site, no remote opportunity

• Any lineman schooling or background

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering or equivalent work experience with distribution or electrical knowledge

• Complete an extensive training program that consists of classes, field work, and practices with a designated mentor
• Respond to any abnormal conditions in the distribution system

• Monitor and maintain the real time SCADA & OMS (outage management software) systems via their 5 monitor desk station in the control center
• Responsible for speaking with customers and solving any issues that may arise
  • Communicate with field resources, internal resources, and customers
