YOUR ROLE

Are you known for your extensive management skills? Are you passionate about customer service and driving results? If so, we have an opportunity that would allow you to lead the contract/s and all employees in the growth and development of additional business opportunities with the existing customer.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

  • Oversee ongoing customer service and maintain customer relations by focusing on the contract's daily operations based on customer's needs. Utilize daily communications with the customer to discuss service needs and potential problem areas.
  • Attain profit objectives of contracts, provide financial analysis and decision making for customers. Manage the organic growth and development of additional business opportunities with existing customers.
  • Ensure safety, maintain quality, establish and monitor cost control programs.
  • Manage operations schedule and staff the contract in anticipation of customer needs. Provide support and guidance to hiring manager. Manage the contract staff, ensuring continued quality service by writing procedures, testing, hiring and training managerial and operational personnel.
  • Maintain corporate productivity and quality award programs to recognize outstanding performance. Encourage use of Performance Management system in all facets of the Contract operation. Maintain the Contracts quality performance objectives through the continuous improvement processes.
  • Establish and monitor cost control programs, including annual budget development, monthly P & L review and payroll and cost analysis.
  • Handle daily administration of contract, including preparation of customer related performance reports and all other correspondence.
  • Negotiate and Enforce Collective Bargaining Agreement where applicable.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in logistics, 3PL or transportation. Five to ten years senior management experience in a transportation/ industrial environment. Union experience, preferred. Previous start up and Project management experience, preferred.
  • Skills:Computer literate.
  • Characteristics: Excellent oral communication and customer relations skills. Excellent organizational and financial management skills. Ability to train, motivate, coach and counsel others. Problem solving, conflict resolution, decision-making and planning /organizing skills. Ability to multi-task and excellent time management skills.
