The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services is in search of an experienced Document Control Manager. The successful candidate will have broad Records management or Document Control experience. $21.182 per hour. Salary is negotiable. Salary may be commensurate with applicant's education and experience if approved.

Examples of Work

This position will be responsible for the development, ongoing management, and expansion of the agency's internal document compliance program.

Job duties and responsibilities will include:
  • Assisting in the development and roll out of agency document control software;
  • Identify and implement processes and procedures to ensure agency documents are compliant with legal and contractual requirements;
  • Create and implement ongoing compliance training for agency personnel;
  • Develop, monitor, and enforce internal policies and procedures and timelines related to document review and consistency;
  • Identify policy and document needs and coordinate with agency personnel to create, revise, or repeal documents to ensure compliance;
  • Establish, review, and report out on compliance metrics to identify areas of need and conduct quality assurance reviews of documents and the internal document control process.
Qualifications / Requirements
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in public or business administration, accounting or any discipline related to the work assigned. One year of experience in planning, organizing, and implementing program administrative or business financial functions. Experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.

PREFERRED: Records management or document control experience; experience managing document processes and systems to ensure control and availability of documentation; experience in organizational change management; or quality assurance experience.

OTHER: Valid driver's license or the ability to provide independent authorized transportation for work-related travel.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

A successful candidate would have strong computer skills; be able to work independently; possess excellent organizational and planning skills; have excellent communication skills and be able to work collaboratively with a variety of people; have an understanding of compliance principles; possess a high attention to detail and accuracy; have the ability to work on multiple priorities and show an ability to meet time sensitive deadlines in a fast-paced environment; and demonstrate effective problem analysis and decision making skills.
