You are a highly motivated, self-starting Document Control Specialist with a proven track record of implementing and maintaining best-in-class asset storage practices. You thrive in fast-paced environments with entrepreneurial DNA and are comfortable charting new territory. Your strong organizational skills allow you to stay on top of multiple projects at the same time. You have a natural curiosity and repeatedly ask the question, "Is there a better way?" You can trouble-shoot system issues and are a proactive communicator.

Document control and our PLM system is the foundation of YETI's engineering, quality, and operations departments. The Document Control Specialist is a core member of the NPD (New Product Development) team acting as subject matter expert for all matters related to process and vendor document management, CAD storage, and the engineering change process.

Responsibilities:

  • Interface with operations, quality, R&D and our bags division for all matters related to document control
  • Leverage background and best practice expertise to optimize YETI's current document control methods and software
  • Identify new ways of streamlining our document control processes
  • Communicate status of projects to key stakeholders and management team
  • Identify and lead implementation of YETI PLM software
Qualifications and Attributes:
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • At least 4 years of experience working in PLM or engineering and vendor document management, within a consumer goods company is preferred
  • Detail oriented and highly organized
  • Self-starter with proactive, results-oriented focus
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Proven accuracy, reliability, and completeness in job execution
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects with a cross functional team
  • Experience implementing PLM systems, preferred
  • Experience with PTC Windchill or Centric, preferred
This position is based at YETI's HQ in Austin, Texas, and relocation support will be offered to selected candidate.
