Downstream Technical Application Specialist

The Downstream Technical Application Specialist is experienced in downstream purification operations, with an emphasis on Clarification and Tangential Flow Filtration. The Specialist will work with the local Sales and Process Development Scientist teams to support customer opportunities in the Western United States.

Responsibilities:

include: Leverage expertise and strategic insights in the downstream technologies field including filtration and purification portfolios to effectively collaborate with commercial partners and drive salesIdentify strategic opportunities to gain market share, grow the business and develop plans of action for Competitive Conversion, New Product Introductions (NPI), Product Adoption (PA) and Application Based Solutions (ABS)Bring customer and commercial feedback to leadership, business, & strategy to share best practices and identify potential gapsTravel: 30% domestic travel to customer locations within Western US & Canada

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in chemistry, chemical engineering or other life science discipline1+ year of hands-on downstream purification experience in the biopharma industry1+ year of experience with TFF development and/or clarification purification unit operations

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree in Business Administration or chemistry, chemical engineering or other life science discipline5+ years direct experience with development and implementation of purification unit operationsStrong customer and sales orientation with excellent relationship building skillsExcellent communication skills Sales or marketing organization experience
