Summary:
The Specialty Route Service Representative isthe face of Quest Diagnostics to the public, our customers and acts as anAmbassador for the company in everything he/she does. Everyday Excellence is acritical component in fulfilling this position requirement. This positionperforms day to day route operations by serving client needs with regard toproperly tracking, sorting, storing and transporting patient specimens andother materials including but not limited to supplies and patient results.

Basic Purpose:
The Specialty RSR will: safely operates companyvehicle to pick up, properly store and deliver specimens and other materials;and provides service to internal and external customers in an organized,efficient, and professional manner. The RSR will also perform specialty dutieswith accountabilities as deemed appropriate by Regional need e.g. performmultiple routes primarily on the same shift, perform pack and ship duties forflight etc... Everyday Excellence is a critical component in fulfilling thisposition requirement.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the safe and timelytransportation of specimens, supplies, reports, equipment and materials to theappropriate destination.
- Responsible for operating company vehiclesafely as well as maintaining a valid driver's license and driving recordwithin acceptable company guidelines.
- Ensure route is started with proper equipmenttools.
- Follow route as scheduled/sequenced whileallowing for will-call stops and special pickups.
- Communicate with Dispatch before leaving anarea to ensure will-calls have been cleared.
- Attendance and punctuality inmeetings and training sessions.
- Document and provide appropriate clientsatisfaction information to Logistics Management.
- Other duties as defined by LogisticsManagement.

Qualifications:

Education Requirement:
High school diploma/GED strongly preferred, orcommensurate work experience required.

Work Experience:
1year of experience in a customer service, logistics, or delivery related jobstrongly preferred. General computer knowledge preferred. Experience withhandheld scanner equipment preferred.
Licensure Requirement:
Valid Driver's license with a minimum of 1 yeardriving experience and documentation of a Motor Vehicle Record with < threemoving violation convictions within the previous 36-month period.

Mental/Physical: • Extensive use ofphone and hand held device (PC)
• Prolongedstanding/sitting/walking/driving
• Fine dexterity withhands/steadiness
• Able to lift up to 25 pounds; mayoccasionally need to lift 40 pounds; carrying up to 15 pounds for severalminutes at a time
• Ability to communicate effectively inEnglish with clients, supervisors and peers
• Vision-requires constant mental visualattention to details as well as ability to see well in limited lightscenarios
