Job Summary


Ecology and Evolutionary Biology encourages applications for an Ecological Research Assistant! This research assistant position will help with building a database for an ecological meta-analysis. Work will be able to be completed remotely if necessary. Candidates must be detail-oriented, tolerant of slightly monotonous work, and able to read and understand scientific literature and figures thoroughly. Familiarity with Excel not required, but a plus.

Our research programs have relevance for global change, conservation biology, the spread of diseases, and revealing fundamental mechanisms underlying the structural and functional adaptations of organisms.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

  • Consolidating data from various spread sheets into one comprehensive database.
  • Quality assurance and control.


What You Should Know

What We Can Offer

The hiring rate for this part-time appointment is $16.00 per hour.

Benefits

Temporary positions at the University of Colorado are not benefits-eligible, however, all positions are eligible for paid sick leave.

What We Require

  • Some classwork towards an undergraduate degree in ecology or related science.
  • Capability to commit a minimum of 20 hours per week to this work.
