Electrical Supervisor

Position Summary

The Electrical Supervisor will manage and direct the electrical department personnel in the daily operation of a quarry/lime facility. Responsible for planned and unplanned maintenance activities. Lead all maintenance activities on critical electrical equipment including main substations, switchgears, transformers, motors, etc. Responsible for planned and unplanned maintenance activities. Job responsibilities include sustaining an injury free workplace, supporting compliance with quality system, regulatory instrumentation, directing the workforce, trouble shooting, and calibration of field instruments.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of industrial and electrical safety including lock-out procedure, arc flash protection
  • Ability to perform risk assessment, as well as contribute and deliver high quality safety talks
  • Directly supervise electricians in daily maintenance activities across all shifts
  • Supervise the Install, maintenance, and calibration of process control, instrumentation, and emission analyzers
  • Support maintenance of environmental regulatory systems and other process instrumentation
  • Ability to read and understand electrical diagrams and schematics
  • Ability to trouble shoot PLCs
  • Ability to use Computerized Maintenance Management System for work orders and purchase orders
  • Supervision of all on-site contractors
  • Ensure all applicable process control data is being recorded and archived.
  • Strong planning, problem solving, troubleshooting, communication, project management, and leadership skills
  • Promote a positive work environment for growth and sustainability
  • Lead and manage, through collaboration, with all co-workers in their area the RCA/Corrective action program for equipment issues.
  • Use the RCA/Correction action program for improved equipment reliability
  • Participate in the development of process documentation on maintenance jobs/tasks
  • Ability and initiative to make sound decisions
  • Other duties as required by the needs of the plant

Minimum Education and Experience
  • Associate degreein Electronics, Industrial Electricity or Process Control preferred
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of work experience in related field of instrumentation and/or electrical technology
  • Must have working knowledge of electronics, computers, basic operating systems software (Windows, and MS office), PLC, HMI and electrical controls
  • Must have the ability to read and understand operating manuals, electrical drawings and schematics
  • Must possess good communication skills - written and interpersonal
