Job Description

The candidate would be responsible for non-supervisory tasks on hazardous and non-hazardous waste work projects. Responsibilities include manifesting, packaging, waste profiling, spill response, decontamination operations, vacuum projects, waste handling, labeling, loading/unloading, coordinating transportation, and sampling/profiling material while adhering to state and federal environmental, health, and safety regulations. This is a hands on position which requires strong communication/customer service skills as well as computer skills to track/log all of the materials being transported and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to wear a respirator and other personal protective equipment as needed. Ability to multi task and be self-sufficient. The position requires daily local travel, overnight stays, and extended work hours

Qualifications

High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) required A valid driver's license required Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related science discipline preferred Prior work experience in the hazardous waste/related industry preferred 40-hour HAZWOPER Certification preferred Class A or B CDL with Hazmat endorsement preferred Employment is contingent upon a successful background check and drug screen.

Hourly pay a minimum of $30.00 to a maximum of $35.00
