We are a family-owned full service general contracting firm that has been completing work for more than 50 years nationwide and has won numerous of Chicago's best and brightest company awards. We are looking for a Commercial Construction Estimator to add to our team and we would like to give you the offering of a hybrid work model. If you have more than five years of commercial construction estimating and want to work beside our chief estimator and take your commercial estimating skills to the next level, then this is the position for you.

Location: Palatine, Illinois - 30 miles from Chicago
Compensation: 90k-100k starting salary + Bonus

What You Will Be Doing You will be helping our full-service general contracting firm develop and accurately forecast the cost and size of future construction projects. You will be participating in all the pre-bidding decisions like preliminary drawings and site visits. You should be able to do the basics like helping the team with materials, labor, subcontractors, and estimating equipment use. In the office, you will be developing a cost summary for the entire project and also maintaining an open database of proposal responses. We would like you to be able to generate conceptual bids for our firm.
What You Need for this Position - Basic understanding of accounting and project management concepts
- Advanced understanding of estimation metrics, data analysis, and research methodology
- At least 5 years of construction estimating experience
- Demonstrated ability to create and maintain spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel
