Experience: Required - 2 years of leadership and management experience
developing and supervising teams. 5 or more years' experience working.
with at-risk youth and families. Experience in home-based services.

Supervises: Family Support Specialist

Summary: This position is responsible for using sound professional judgment and best practices to ensure quality services are provided to at-risk youth and families, especially in crises situations while maintaining compliance with established state and federal standards. Leading a team of family support specialists effectively and ensure the delivery of high-quality services.

Essential Functions:
1. Effectively communicate expectations, provide feedback, and facilitate collaboration among family support specialists.
2. Provide direct supervision, support staff development, address challenges, and provide guidance to family support specialists.
3. Collaborate with staff to develop individualized service plans that address clients' goals and objectives.
4. Help team understand family dynamics relating to the client and planning client services.
5. Keeps supervisor updated on status of program deliverables goals.
6. Maintains familiarity and knowledge of community resources and uses these
appropriately to meet needs of families.

7. Conducts community outreach in educating caregivers, professionals, and others about program, agency services, and child abuse prevention awareness.
8. Frequent travel to client homes, schools, and to other community partners as needed.
9. Other job duties as assigned.

Measurable Deliverables:
1. Meet all federal and state regulatory guidelines and standards that are applicable to this position.
2. Meets all outcomes and deliverables 100% of the time as outlined by the DFPS contracts, BCFS HHS logic models, and programs.
3. Maintain a caseload in accordance with agency policies, procedures, and licensing contract standards.
4. Conducts and documents monthly quality assurance tasks including case file
audits, in person reviews/shadowing, auditing Salesforce database, and client
satisfaction phone calls to ensure compliance with contract requirements.
5. Conducts weekly or biweekly consultation with assigned staff. Completes monthly all staff meetings to assess the need of the team, implement training
opportunities, review policies, procedures, and to review staff cases.
6. Provide services to youth ages 6-17 and their families.
7. Complete training and receive ongoing education on skills necessary for conflict resolution, anger management, parenting, etc.
8. Compile, prepare, submit and maintain accurate case records, files, forms and additional information in accordance with agency policies, licensing and/or
contract requirements.
9. Work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays when approved by supervisor.
10. Maintain confidentiality in all areas of the service population and program
operations.
11. Maintain BCFS HHS professional and ethical standards of conduct outlined in the BCFS employee policy manual including demonstrating respect for agency staff, the service population, and community members and complying with the required dress code at all times.
12. Submit weekly, monthly and annual reports, or more as is required by supervisor/ BCFS.
13. Attend all required trainings and meetings.

Credentials, Skills and Abilities:
1. Maintain current licenses and certificates required for the position including but not limited to:
• First Aid • CPR • LMFT, LPC, LCSW, LMFT-A, or LPC-I
• Other ________________________________________
2. Pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens and maintain
emotional control and professional composure at all times.
3. Provide proof of work eligibility status upon request.
7. Conducts community outreach in educating caregivers, professionals, and others about program, agency services, and child abuse prevention awareness.
8. Frequent travel to client homes, schools, and to other community partners as needed.
9. Other job duties as assigned.
4. Pass a pre-employment and biennial criminal background and motor vehicle check
(fingerprints needed if applicant has lived out of state within the past 5 years)
5. Demonstrate the ability to:
a. Respond sensitively and competently to the service population's cultural
and socio-economic characteristics.
b. Communicate effectively in writing and verbally in English and/or Spanish.
c. Work in a fast paced environment.
d. Maintain computer literacy required to meet the responsibilities of the position.
e. Work effectively and without intensive supervision both independently and as
a member of a multidisciplinary team.
f. Travel as needed.
g. Manage time effectively and efficiently.
6. Bilingual preferred (Spanish)
