POSITION SUMMARY
An Engineer Advisor position responsible for supporting business deliverables from pre-sales support through installation and customer acceptance. Provides tier three support to Bluecrest Field Service for all DMT Print products. Provides direct involvement in installation and upgraded of printers.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide Pre-Sales support giving direction to Statement of Work for all printer installations and upgrades.
- Provides direct on site installation support for printer installations.
- Provide post-install support services, including standby/on-call
- Provides recommended spare parts, service bulletins and printer documentation to local field service.
- Uses best practices and drives improvements to obtain overall business objectives.
KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED/PREFERRED
- Latest Windows and Linux Operating System familiarity
- Up to 70% travel could be required
- Familiarity with PLC logic controllers and programming methods
- Ability to logically troubleshoot technical issues through use of application and system logs
- Ability to utilize remote diagnostic and communication software for problem resolution
- Familiarity with workgroup and domain-based networking, access and security
- Engaging attitude and eagerness to help local service and clients solve their business problems
- Strong mechanical aptitude and skills with the use of hand and power tools is required
- Ability to read and troubleshoot using electrical schematics and wiring diagrams is required
- Working familiarity with AC and DC electrical circuits, switches, sensors, solenoids and relays is required
- Consultative approach to interfacing with internal and external clients
- Willingness to apply focus to unfamiliar parts of the business driving internal improvement
- Experience with multi-vendor production printer controllers and capabilities
- Awareness of industry standard technical compliance/security requirements and resolution process
- Experience with Secure File Transfer, related software such as WS_FTP, Filezilla and Move-It
- Experience and familiarity with production print operations
- Experience and familiarity with use of Dynamics 365 CRM and FP&O modules is desirable
- Ability to document technical environments, project deliverables and respond to technical RFP questions
- Ability to assist or create Statements of Work SOW for planned projects
- Experience and familiarity with fluid pumps and associated plumbing
- Strong interpersonal and customer relationship skills
- Associate degree in Information and/or Print technology or equivalent experience required
- Bachelor's degree in Information and/or Print technology preferred
- Print industry certifications preferred
- IT certification (Microsoft, Networking, Red Hat Linux) preferred
