Overview

GEO-Instruments, a Keller company, provides geotechnical and structural monitoring services. We supply, install, and integrate geotechnical and structural sensors, along with geomatic systems. We automate the collection, processing, visualization and delivery of data.

We are currently looking for a Field Technician to join our team in the DC area

Responsibilities

Field technicians work with Project Managers and Project Coordinators to assemble, configure, install, and commission geotechnical or structural monitoring systems. Like project managers, technicians must maintain good communications and relations with customers. Field techs need excellent written and oral communication, and strong organizational skills to handle day to day schedules and inventory documentation.

Qualifications

Experience & Skills: Positions are available for both entry level and experienced technicians with education levels from technical high school through all levels of college. Technicians must be technology minded and have basic knowledge in one or two of the following with an interest and desire to add more skills.

Fabrication, industrial maintenance

Commercial construction

Wireless devices, survey equipment, telemetry, field instrumentation

Experience working with scripting languages such as Javascript and Python

Low-voltage electrical for instruments and loggers

Mechanical / electro-mechanical systems experience

Attitude: Technicians must be self-starters, good at working with others, work well in the field, and able create order out of chaos.

Travel: This position requires travel with occasional night and weekend work. Must be able to drive and have a valid driver's license.
