The Financial Analyst processes payroll and participates in the weekly, periodic, and annual overhead financial planning and analysis processes.

• On an on-going basis, the primary role of this this position will be heavily involved in the payroll process, payroll systems, and related process improvements from a financial perspective. An additional key role of this position is to understand and assist with overhead spend analysis, control, planning, and reporting with the goal to raise accuracy and understanding overhead spend and labor expense. Report financial information to the level consistent with that specified by the controller, bakery leadership, and cost center owners
• The financial analysis acts as the primary backup to the cost analyst for production execution and various cost accounting functions as needed.

• Interact with various Department Managers, such as Production, Scheduling, Quality Assurance, Inventory Control, and Administration to compile, analyze and disseminate information. Frequent contact with Plant employees, MIS and purchasing staff. Interact with financial cost analysis and acts as their back up for production execution and other cost related subjects.
• Must comply with all applicable food laws, regulations, and food safety requirements.

Ways you will make a difference

• Process weekly payroll.
• Support the development of direct and indirect labor cost related to product costing and labor reporting.
• Develops and maintains weekly and period reports recapping cost center spend and will research material expense variances.
• Works with the plant controller and cost center owners to develop spend forecasts and annual budgeting.
• Works with cost centers owners and vendors to address accounts payable issues escalated to the plant level.
• Maintains various journal entries to support correct expense classification and the period-end closing process.
• Develops, evaluates, and improves financial reporting.
• Complete various special projects as assigned by Plant Controller.

Skills that will make you successful

• BS degree in Accounting, Finance or any related field preferred.
• Proficient in personal computer, with ability in spreadsheet and graph applications.
• Ability to communicate with employees, clients, vendors and ability to make presentation at management level.
