Volt is hiring General Labors for a local leading vegetable processing organization in Santa Maria, CA.

As a General Laborer, you will:

• Flexible to work 12 hour shifts open to work any shift both morning and afternoons
• Associate works as a crewmember preparing raw food for processing
• Examines, classifies and separates produce on conveyor belt according to grade, color, and size of product.
• Discards cull (inferior or defective) items and foreign material such as metal, glass, wood, plastic, stems, leaves, insects, etc.
• Must notify superintendent, supervisor or QC Inspector immediately upon finding glass, rocks or animals (i.e. bird, rodent, amphibian, etc.)
• May trim product with a knife or paring tool
• Maintains work area clean.
• Will don personal protective equipment (PPE) before commencing work.
• Follows all safety guidelines set forth by the Company.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Ability to work a 12-hour shift.
• Ability to work a 7-day week; including holidays.
• Ability to work a rotating shift if necessary.

This is a Full-time 1st Shift Opportunity Pay Rate: $18/hr,

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
