Nature & Purpose of Position:The Graphic Artist Student Assistant creates all marketing and social media content for the Department of Campus Activities & Traditions.
Responsibilities include re-creating and creating promotional material and marketing graphics for print pieces, event signage, branding material, t-shirts, web graphics, social media, and email campaigns. You will be working closely with another Graphic Artist and report directly to the Associate Director and Program Coordinator. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
The preferred candidate is a creative multitasker who has a good understanding of brand promotion. We are looking for someone who can work independently and has a strong professional drive, a passion for Sam Houston State University, and the ability to work as a team player. This is a hands-on, fast-paced position that will be given graphic requests daily.
Students should be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours at SHSU. Must have experience in packaging designs, Adobe InDesign, Adobe PDF, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, and using a Mac computer. Must also be comfortable with handling 1-5 projects at a single time.
